YouTube Shorts has been introduced in India, allowing users to create 60-second short videos

At the recent Google for India event, Google unveiled a new app for YouTube Shorts. This resembles Tiktok since for the past one year, viewers could only watch short videos on YouTube's official application. Users can now record and publish short videos on a mobile application. The video's time restriction has been set to 60 seconds. It means that anyone can record a 60 seconds video. 

However, Youtube Shorts will find it difficult to establish itself in the Indian market. It will have to deal with a slew of other apps that are already established in this market including MX TakaTak, ShareChat, Moj, Josh, Ropso, Snake, Chingari, and Zili. Let me tell you that these apps are used by a large number of people.

Aside from that, the company is also planning to introduce a feature in India that would allow users to listen to the searched information via audio. According to Google Search Vice President Pandu Nayak, "it will implement voice news alerts feature to the platform soon".

Users can listen to the search results in five different languages with a loud voice. One can simply record short YouTube videos right from their phone. Furthermore, you may utilize the app to increase or decrease the recording speed, as well as apply many filters available while editing a video.

In an interview, Google India head Sanjay Gupta remarked that India is the nation that requires more focus, and that it is now Google's major priority. YouTube Shorts was first introduced in India in 2020, and following its popularity, YouTube expanded the feature worldwide.
