ORACLE UNVEILS DEDICATED AUTONOMOUS DATABASE FOR ENTERPRISE CUSTOMERS

This service will help enterprise customers with high security or operational policy requirements get cloud database management services.

On 26th June 2019, Oracle launched a private database service inside the Oracle public cloud – The Autonomous Database dedicated to enterprise customers. 

"Our Autonomous Database Dedicated service eliminates the concerns enterprise customers previously had about security, isolation, and operational policies when moving to cloud."  Juan Loaiza, executive vice president, Mission-Critical Database Technologies, Oracle said. “Our Autonomous Database Dedicated service eliminates the concerns enterprise customers previously had about security, isolation, and operational policies when moving to cloud.” He added.

To help meet the needs of enterprise customers who want to move their workloads to the cloud, Oracle Autonomous Database Dedicated service will provide the customers with highest levels of reliability, security, and control for any class of database workload.

 Customizable private database cloud running on dedicated Exadata Infrastructure in the Oracle Cloud will be provided to the customers.

The company also said that the solution also provides customizable operational policies, which will give the customers even more control over database provisioning, software updates, and availability.

This distinctive architecture protects each and every database from both malicious internal users and external threats and delivers the highest degree of workload isolation.  It will enable customers to run databases of any size, scale, and criticality providing an ideal database as a service platform.

Oracle also announced a rich set of built-in Autonomous Database developer capabilities, including Oracle Application Express (APEX), Oracle SQL Developer Web, and Oracle REST Data Services.
