Microsoft Releases PowerShell Core 6.1.

Microsoft has announced the release of PowerShell Core 6.1. a task-based command-line and scripting language

Recently Microsoft has announced the release of PowerShell Core 6.1., which is a task-based command-line tool and scripting language while Core is Microsoft's second open source Edition release that works on Linux, macOS, and windows.

This release comprises numerous updates and new features. The feature the stands out the most is its compatibility with the built-in Windows modules like 1900+ existing cmdlets in Windows 10 and Windows Server 2019. PowerShell core is also built on top of .NET Core 2.1, one of top open source managed software frameworks, libraries, and tools.
 
 6.1 will support Windows 7/8.1/10, Windows Server 2008R2/2012/2012R2/2016, Windows Server Semi-Annual Channel , macOS 10.12+, Ubuntu 14.04/16.04/18.04 and many more. Many cmdlets have also been introduced in the release that facilitates developers to convert and render Markdown documents in the console. Major performance improvements can also be seen in the updates, speeding up many certain operations significantly, such as :  the sorting scenario has improved up to 15%.
