IIT DELHI STARTUP - ₹399 DEVICE ABLE TO CONVERT YOUR AC INTO AN AIR PURIFIER

NEW DELHI: An IIT Delhi alumni in collaboration with his professors has come up with a startup which will resolve the issue of indoor air pollution forever.

The startup which is known by the name Nasofilters has introduced Nanoclean AC filters that enable all types of air conditioners (whether split or windows) to purify the air as well.

FEATURES, COST AND  MECHANISM OF NANOCLEAN FILTER

Presently the filter is available on Amazon.in (combo pack of three with 2 units each at a discounted price of ₹ 899)  and the company's own website.

The Simple Mechanism – A plastic mesh air filter is already included in every AC. By using double-sided tape, the Nanoclean AC filter needs to be attached on the plastic mesh. The startup also claims that it does not do any harm in air circulation of AC nor it uses any extra power.

As the air conditioner starts doing its work by circulating the cool air the Nano filter collects and traps PM 2.5 and other microparticle pollutants. The company claims to purify 90% of the air inside the room, within an hour.

"When the efficiency of our Nanoclean filter is compared to that of an expensive air purifier the difference is marginal. If an air purifier takes 55 minutes to clean the air of the entire room in which a 1.5 TON is running, our filter will take 5 minutes more. The end result is the same but then using our filters on existing AC's will help save money, power bill and room space." Said Tushar Vyas, CRO, Nasofilters.

Nasofilters emerged in the headlines as the growing startup last year when they had introduced extremely affordable nasal filters. "We are currently exporting our air filters to around 30 countries and are witnessing a good demand in the middle-eastern countries" said Jatin Kewlani, COO, Nasofilters.

"We are already in talks with several big AC brands and some of them have shown interest in deploying our Nanoclean filters in their new AC lineup." said Prateek Sharma, CEO, Nasofilters.

IIT Delhi's big list of startups has always been a boon for our economy and it is expected the same in future also.
